What to watch for
The surface is a control surface. All the audio lives in the MixRack, so the surface can be swapped or lost mid-show without dropping audio, which is a genuine operational advantage worth designing around.
gigaACE runs on Cat5e and looks like Ethernet. It is not, and it must not be patched into a general network switch.
dLive OSC is well documented and open, which makes it one of the easier large consoles to drive from QLab or a show controller.
