Allen & Heath Avantis
Compact dLive-engine console at a price that put a serious processing platform into venues and rental stock that would not previously have carried one. Two full-size touchscreens and card-based I/O.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| dante | bidirectional | Via option card. |
| soundgrid | bidirectional | Via option card. |
| midi | bidirectional | Control. |
| word-clock | bidirectional | Clock. |
What to watch for
I/O is entirely a question of which cards are fitted and which stage boxes are on the loop. Confirm the whole system, not the surface.
