Get-in 入台
The British and Hong Kong word for load-in: the production arriving at the venue and going up. The same word also names the physical access route, so "what is the get-in like" is a question about the dock, the doors and the lift, not about the schedule.
Regional usage
| Where | Term | Note |
|---|---|---|
| UK | Get-in | |
| US | Load-in | |
| TW | 裝台 | |
| AU / NZ | Bump-in |
Easy to get wrong
Get-in names both the process and the access route. A rider asking for get-in dimensions wants door and dock sizes, not a timetable.
Get-in and fit-up are not the same. Fit-up is assembling the set; the get-in is the whole arrival.
