REW (Room EQ Wizard)
Free acoustic measurement software covering swept-sine and RTA measurement, waterfall and decay analysis, and filter design. Widely used for room analysis and system verification.
What to watch for
REW is strongest at room and steady-state analysis. It is not a live dual-channel alignment tool in the way Smaart or Open Sound Meter are, so do not reach for it mid-soundcheck.
Swept-sine measurements need a quiet room. A measurement taken over a load-in tells you about the load-in.
