L-ISA Controller
Object-based audio control for L-Acoustics immersive systems: sources are positioned in the room rather than panned between speakers, and the processing works out what each output has to do. The point where a tracking system's coordinates become where a voice appears to come from.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| osc | bidirectional | Object positions and control. |
| psn | in | Performer position from tracking systems. |
| rttrpm | in | Performer position from tracking systems. |
What to watch for
It consumes a coordinate system. Agree the origin with lighting and video before anybody surveys, or the sound will be exactly as wrong as the light.
Typical use
- Immersive and object-based mixes
- Following a tracked performer with a sound object
- Theatre and residency work where localisation matters
