Meyer Sound Galileo GALAXY 816
Loudspeaker system processor with 8 inputs and 16 outputs: the alignment and drive brain in front of a Meyer PA, handling delay, EQ and array processing under Compass control.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| avb-milan | bidirectional | AVB network audio streams alongside analog and AES3 I/O; Milan-certified firmware exists for GALAXY. |
Connectors
- 8x analog/AES3 inputs
- 16x analog outputs
- AVB network ports (etherCON)
What to watch for
An AVB path into a GALAXY needs AVB-capable switches end to end; it will not cross an ordinary gigabit core, which is the practical difference from the DSCP-marked transports it shares racks with.
