MA Lighting grandMA3 light
The smaller grandMA3 console: same software, same show files and same network model as the full size, with fewer physical faders and executors. Where a full size is a workspace, this is the one that travels.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| sacn | bidirectional | Primary network output. |
| art-net | bidirectional | Network output. |
| ma-net | bidirectional | Session networking between MA devices. |
| dmx512 | out | Direct outputs. |
| rdm | bidirectional | Fixture discovery and configuration. |
| ltc | in | Timecode. |
| mtc | in | MIDI timecode. |
| osc | bidirectional | Remote control. |
| psn | in | Position data for tracking-driven fixtures. |
What to watch for
Parameter count is licensed and is the number that actually constrains a rig, not the number of DMX ports.
Plugins are written in Lua, which makes small automations approachable — and makes it worth version-controlling them like any other code.
