Follow-Me 3D

Remote followspot system: an operator tracks a performer on a video image and the system drives moving lights to that point, so one operator can run several fixtures from front of house instead of several operators sitting in trusses.

Protocols it speaks

ProtocolDirectionNotes
art-net bidirectional Fixture control and merge with the console.
sacn bidirectional Fixture control.
psn bidirectional Position exchange.

What to watch for

It merges with the lighting console's output. Agree the merge and priority model before the first cue session, or a busk will fight the follow.
Fixture positions must be measured accurately. The system can only be as correct as the rig survey it was given.
