d&b audiotechnik D80
Four-channel touring amplifier with the d&b loudspeaker preset library and array processing on board: the standard drive unit behind GSL, KSL and V-Series rigs, remote-managed from R1.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| aes70-oca | bidirectional | R1 remote control speaks OCA (AES70) to the amplifier over Ethernet. |
Connectors
- 4x amplified outputs (EP5/NL4 variants)
- 4x analog and 2x AES3 inputs
- 2x etherCON remote network (OCA)
What to watch for
The D80 itself takes analog or AES3 audio: networked audio into a d&b rig arrives through a DS10 or DS20 Dante bridge in front of the amps, so the Dante domain ends at the bridge, not at the amplifier.
