Rake 斜台
A stage floor built on a slope, higher upstage than downstage. It changes sightlines, and it also changes how anything on wheels or with a high centre of gravity behaves, so trucks, rostra and furniture destined for a rake have to be built and braked for it.

Castors that are safe on a flat deck can run away on a rake. A rake changes the risk assessment for every wheeled item, not just the sightlines.
