Patch 配接(patch)
The mapping between a control channel and the thing it drives. On a lighting desk it is which DMX address a fixture answers to and which profile the desk applies to it. In audio and video it is which physical input arrives on which channel.

Easy to get wrong
A soft patch lives in the desk's show file. A hard patch is physical cabling or a dimmer rack assignment. Changing one does not change the other.
In audio a patchbay is a physical panel. Telling a sound engineer to "repatch it" may send someone to a rack rather than to a laptop.
