Universe 一條 DMX 線路 (universe)
One complete DMX512 stream of 512 channels. Everything about rig capacity is counted in universes: a console outputs so many, a node converts so many, a fixture in its largest personality eats a chunk of one.

Easy to get wrong
An sACN universe number and an Art-Net universe are not the same field. Art-Net splits a 15-bit port-address into Net, Sub-Net and Universe, so "universe 5" can mean two different wires.
