NFPA 1126
Standard for the Use of Pyrotechnics Before a Proximate Audience
Scope
Requirements for pyrotechnics fired close to an audience indoors or out: device types, separation distances, operator licensing interfaces, plans and demonstration shots for the authority having jurisdiction.
Notes
The Station nightclub fire is the case study behind modern enforcement of this document. The demonstration shot for the fire marshal is not a formality.
