Parameter values for ultra-high definition television systems for production and international programme exchange
Scope
The UHDTV parameter set: 4K and 8K raster sizes, frame rates, 10 and 12 bit depths, and the wide colour gamut usually just called Rec. 2020.
Notes
The Rec. 2020 gamut is wider than any display panel currently reaches, so real hardware works inside it, usually to something near DCI-P3. "2020 container, P3 content" is the normal state of affairs and is worth pinning down in a spec before a screen arrives.
