Audio/video, information and communication technology equipment - Part 1: Safety requirements
Scope
The hazard-based safety standard that replaced IEC 60065 (audio/video) and IEC 60950-1 (IT equipment). Classifies energy sources rather than listing constructions, so it applies to consoles, media servers, amplifiers, network gear and anything else in a rack.
Notes
The transition from 60065/60950-1 is done: equipment placed on the market now is certified to 62368-1. If you are reading a compliance sheet on an amp or a server and it still cites 60065, you are looking at an old certificate.
