VESA DisplayPort Standard v2.1b
VESA DisplayPort Standard
Scope
Defines the DisplayPort interface: the Main Link (up to UHBR20, 80 Gbit/s over 4 lanes), Multi-Stream Transport for daisy-chaining monitors, Display Stream Compression, and the connector/cable requirements a device or cable has to meet to claim a given DisplayPort version or UHBR rate.
Notes
DisplayPort 2.1b was announced January 2025, superseding 2.1a, and adds the DP80LL ("low loss") active-cable specification, allowing UHBR20 cables roughly 3x the length of the original passive DP80 cable. VESA develops and administers the standard; the full specification text is a member/adopter benefit rather than a public download.
