BS 7671:2018+A2:2022
Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations, 18th Edition
Scope
The UK national standard for electrical installations: earthing arrangements, protective devices, cable selection, RCD requirements, inspection and testing, and the special-location sections that cover temporary installations for events.
Notes
BS 7909 covers temporary systems for entertainment; BS 7671 is the general installation standard it sits on. Section 711 (exhibitions, shows and stands) is the part event electricians reach for. Not statutory in itself, but compliance is how you demonstrate you met the Electricity at Work Regulations.
