TimecodeDisplay
Small open-source macOS app from the makers of QLab that listens for incoming MIDI Time Code and displays it in large, easily readable digits for backstage cueing and MTC troubleshooting.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| mtc | in | Listens to and displays incoming MIDI Time Code. |
What to watch for
macOS only, no Windows build.
Repository shows no formal tagged releases, so most users build it from source rather than downloading a signed binary.
Typical use
- Confirm MTC is actually being received and is running/counting correctly before a show
- Give a stage manager or crew member a large, unambiguous timecode readout separate from the show computer's main screen
