0-10V Analog Dimming Control
Also called 0-10V, 1-10V.
A simple two-wire analog DC control voltage (0-10V, or 1-10V for fluorescent ballasts) used to dim architectural/LED lighting fixtures and drivers, standardized for entertainment use in ANSI/ESTA E1.3 and predating DMX512 in theatrical dimming.
Stewarded by ESTA/PLASA (Entertainment Services and Technology Association), via ANSI.
Small messages that either repeat constantly or fire once. Bandwidth is almost never the problem.
What kills it. Latency and loss on the messages that fire once. A repeating level survives a dropped packet; a GO does not.
