Medialon Showmaster Pro
Dedicated solid-state show controller for permanent installations: no operating system to update behind your back, no desktop to be clicked on, and enough protocol support to be the thing that starts and coordinates everything else in an attraction every morning.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| osc | bidirectional | Control. |
| midi | bidirectional | Control. |
| midi-show-control | bidirectional | MSC. |
| ltc | bidirectional | Timecode. |
| dmx512 | bidirectional | Through interfaces. |
| art-net | bidirectional | Network lighting control. |
| snmp | bidirectional | Monitoring. |
What to watch for
A dedicated controller earns its place by not being a PC. Resist the temptation to run the show from something that also has a browser on it.
Document the logic. A show controller that works and that nobody understands is a maintenance liability from the day it is commissioned.
