Luminex GigaCore 10
Compact eight-port managed gigabit switch with the same Groups model and profile system as the larger GigaCores, sized for a single rack, a stage box or a small touring rig.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| art-net | bidirectional | Transported, with protocol-aware handling. |
| sacn | bidirectional | Transported. IGMP snooping is the reason to use it over an unmanaged switch. |
| dante | bidirectional | Transported. |
| aes67 | bidirectional | Transported. |
| avb-milan | bidirectional | AVB support depending on model and firmware. |
Connectors
- 8x etherCON Gigabit
- 2x SFP cage on some variants
- PoE on PoE models
What to watch for
Same Groups abstraction as the bigger GigaCores, so profiles port across the range. Export and carry the profile: a swapped spare boots to defaults.
Eight ports goes fast once consoles, nodes, media servers and a laptop are on it. Plan the port count with the spare laptop and the visiting engineer included.
