ETC Eos Apex 10
The larger Apex: the same Eos software family as every other ETC console, with more faders, more screens and the motorised encoder layout the range introduced. Show files move across the whole family, which is the reason theatres standardise on it.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| sacn | bidirectional | Primary network output. |
| art-net | bidirectional | Network output. |
| etcnet3 | bidirectional | ETC networking. |
| dmx512 | out | Direct outputs. |
| rdm | bidirectional | Through Net3 gateways. |
| ltc | in | Timecode. |
| midi-show-control | bidirectional | MSC. |
| osc | bidirectional | Remote control and feedback. |
What to watch for
Output count is licensed. A console with the ports is not necessarily a console with the outputs.
Show files move down the family as well as up, but features used on a larger desk may have nowhere to live on a smaller one.
