ENTTEC ODE Mk3
Two-universe DMX and RDM gateway powered over Ethernet and configured from a web browser. The small cheap node people hang above a truss position and forget about.
Protocols it speaks
| Protocol | Direction | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| art-net | bidirectional | Includes Art-RDM. |
| sacn | bidirectional | |
| dmx512 | bidirectional | USITT DMX512-A on two 5-pin XLR ports, each settable as input or output. |
| rdm | bidirectional | ANSI E1.20 RDM. |
Connectors
- 2x XLR5F bidirectional DMX512-A / RDM
- 1x RJ45 Ethernet 10/100 with PoE (IEEE 802.3af)
- 1x DC 12-24 V input
What to watch for
IP20. This is an indoor, dry-location device. Outdoor and wet-location positions need it in an enclosure.
Both XLR ports are female and each can be configured as an input or an output in the web interface. A port set the wrong way looks physically correct and passes nothing.
Powered either by 802.3af PoE or by a 12-24 V DC supply. A non-PoE switch means a local power supply and another thing to lose in the pack.
Configuration lives on the device and is reached over the network. Note the IP addressing scheme before it goes up in the air.
