Beckhoff CX5140 Embedded PC
DIN-rail embedded PC running TwinCAT with EtherCAT terminals clipped directly onto it. The physical form the determinism argument takes: a hard real-time control task on reserved cores, with Windows and the rest of the world alongside it rather than in the way.

What to watch for
Functional safety is TwinSAFE — a separate rated channel. It is not where control code goes, and it must remain valid when the control program is wrong.
The show network may give an automation system timing. It must never give it permission.
