What to watch for

Discontinued. Alcorn McBride lists the V16Pro-S as legacy and points new work at the V16X, so treat this as a maintenance and spares entry rather than a specification for a new install.
The V4Pro shares the platform but drops to four serial ports and has no SMPTE generation. Do not substitute one for the other on a timecode-driven show.
Sixteen serial ports means sixteen device-specific cables and pinouts. Confirm RS-232 versus RS-422 per port before the loom is made, because each port is configured individually.
Relay outputs are dry contacts, not powered. Anything being switched needs its own supply and, where the load is inductive, its own protection.
